6 month old Ryan still loves the basket

Remember baby Ryan at 4 weeks of age? Well at 3 months he had a blast in this basket!

Well, now Ryan is 6 months old! He's still a doll and still loves the basket!

While Ryan had fun with the basket I had the most fun finding ways to capture his amazing expressions at play with a basket! All I can say is Ryan is still a cutie, basket or no basket!

Images of a 7 day old

In an earlier blog I wrote about images of Stephanie and Kevin's engagement/pregnancy. Well one of the expectations has arrived!

Here are the images of the 7-day old and his parents!

As usual, I tend to gravitate towards the black and whites...

but the colored images are just as moving!

Yesterday was a beautiful day to play hooky from work! About a hundred men and a few women did it so they could Drive 4 Doug! This is the second annual event benefits The Douglas F Wininger Cancer Research Endowment Fund (The Scottsdale Clinical Institute, The Virginia G Piper Cancer Center, Scottsdale Healthcare).

There were many volunteers that made this event a great success!
Including the guy that created all the banners!

Oh, and yours truly's poster as well!

The teams were ready to go before the 8a tee-off time.

Group photos were a must and a lot of fun!

Lunch time was at 12:30 - definitely time to get out of the heat!

Shooting Gavin and his parents

Gavin just turned a year old! Mommy was really nervous about the photo shoot but Gavin did great!

Gavin has so much energy! Everytime we tried to sit him down, he sprang up and walked away from the scene.
We had such a good time shooting beautiful images at Gavin's house. He's such a cutie and is developing a cute little personality! I know the family is going to love the images!

Stephanie and Kevin

Stephanie and Kevin are having a baby soon so met at the Wigwam and took some maternity photos.

They're also getting married next year, so we shot some announcement images as well.

We took advantage of the mirrors for several of the maternity images.

And the gardens for the engagement images. Stay tuned soon for images of the baby!

Images of Oscar at Tempe Town Lake

Oscar and his "nina" met me at Tempe Town Lake today to shoot some images around the water. My clients know I don't normally shoot in the summer but Oscar's visit was ending today and we needed to get the job done! While I waited for them to arrive I scoped out the areas I wanted to shoot in and found an area under the bridge where the weather was a cool temperature the whole time, and the view was amazing! It was so cool under the bridge that we lost all track of time! We made it to Splash around 11 (what a difference in temperature!) but Oscar wasn't as thrilled with the water as he was with the book and the bubbles under the bridge. Oscar was a delight to shoot! He was so animated that his personality came through in each image!

Photos at Freestone Park

Today was a muggy day in sunny Arizona but I packed the camera equipment into the car, hiked up the air conditioning full blast, and headed out to Freestone Park this morning to meet my friends and clients.


Here, Julianna and Alaya are not even bothered by the high humidity as they look over a peek-a-boo book. At one point they became so animated that I worried I may not get canvas quality shots. As you can see below, the worrying was for nothing.













Here Julianna is in black and white with the blue monkey bars framing her beautiful face.



Mom and Alaya were busy blowing bubbles...

Alaya hams it up with her dad.


Julianna makes a great little model.

And here, both girls just hang out in front of the water.

It was fun hanging out with Alaya and Julianna... Oh and the adults were cool too!

Ryan's infant photos

Since the monsoons are keeping me indoors with the high humidity, it is a pleasure to have such wonderful infant photos to work on.

Ryan is 3 months old in these images...



I love this age because his little personality is clear in each image.




This one was fun to photoshop with a special filter.

What a difference between his 4 week images and these! Still beautiful but so smiley and cute!
